We Maintain Websites

We offer a complete update-on-demand maintenance service. This was our only option when we began creating websites back in '96. With the exception of some web-based content management systems we created for specific clients and pages, we have done all the maintenance for our clients.

Do It Yourself Website Content Maintenance

Using our DIY content management system we establish areas within your website that you can edit as easily as you would modfy a Word document (actually we think it is easier!). You do not have to learn web programming. All your site's HTML code and JavaScript is protected from possible damage.

Do It Yourself Website Content Maintenance

It works like this:

You install a software tool (we provide it) on your PC.

We email you a connection key and in a separate note, call or fax, send your password.

When you are ready to work on your website for the first time, double click the connection key, enter your password and all your connection settings are automatically installed for you.

To make changes, you simply browse to the page you want to edit as you would on your web browser, then click on an "Edit" button.

The page is automatically downloaded to your PC. You can then add text, photos, change prices, schedules, whatever you need to do.

You do NOT have to stay connected, the work is done on your computer and it is as quick as a word processor.

Once your changes are complete and you have checked over the changes, use the "Publish" button to upload your changes to the server.

Alternatively, you can save your changes and come back to finish them later before publishing them to your active website.

The last, and very important, step is to check the page(s) you changed in a browser window to be sure they look OK.

Requirements for Do It Yourself Maintenance:

To protect the HTML code and important scripts and technical parts of your website from accidental change, we must set up your site to identify areas you want to edit and to protect scripts from accidental change or deletion.

New websites can be constructed with the DIY maintenance set up for a small additional charge (based on number of pages and areas you want to edit yourself).

Existing websites can also be set up to allow DIY Maintenance. The cost will vary depending on how the site is constructed and the number of pages you want to be able to edit.

Note: DIY Maintenance is best when used for limited parts of a site. Without search engine optimization skills, it is possible to make changes that will negatively impact the search engine optimization work we have done to get your site top rankings. It is best suited to price, schedule, news, specials, packages, announcements and other content that changes frequently but is not the core content of your website.

“On Demand” Website Maintenance

You only pay for the maintenance and upgrades you need.

We do not lock our clients into monthly or yearly contracts whether they need website upgrades and additions or not.

We find that it is not only less expensive for our clients to work this way, but it gives us a greater incentive to get our clients requests completed quickly and get paid!

Even though you choose the Do It Yourself content management service, there will still be times when you want global changes (such as when a telelphone number that is on all pages of your site changes) or need to add new pages or change the sites navigation. We are experienced with these tasks.

We charge by the hour, with a 1/2 hour minimum.
